These
pension schemes are particularly useful for contractors who intend to take an
overseas contract, and want an opportunity to accumulate (and in due course get
access to) a tax free fund wholly legitimately.

pension scheme is set up, and contributions paid into it whilst the contract is
running; the pension fund can accumulate
interest or investment income tax free;
and the entire fund can be taken at the end of the contract as a lump
sum, without liability for tax.
